Ontario winters are hard on asphalt. Freeze-thaw, plows, road salt and spring runoff turn small problems into potholes, sunken patches and crumbling edges. A proper repair now can add years to your driveway and save the cost of a full replacement.

Common driveway repairs
- Pothole repair: damaged asphalt is cut out and the hole is filled and compacted with new hot asphalt.
- Sunken or settled areas: low spots that hold water are built back up so water drains away.
- Crumbling edges: edges that are breaking off from vehicle weight or poor support are rebuilt.
- Alligator cracking: areas with web-pattern cracking usually mean the base has failed. That section is cut out and patched.
- Cracks: early-stage cracks just need crack filling, which is quicker and cheaper.
Repair or replace?
If damage is limited to certain areas and the rest of the driveway is solid, repair is usually the better value. If most of the surface has cracked or the base has failed across the whole driveway, patching just postpones a replacement. An on-site look is the only honest way to tell. That’s what the free quote is for.
Protect the repair
Once repairs are done, driveway sealing protects the whole surface, including the new patches, from water, salt and UV fading.
